Laura Lou's Christmas

Hello! I feel like I haven't been on here in ages but in actual fact I think it's only been a week or less.
Anyhoo, in a few hours it will officially be the end of Christmas (not that it felt like it ever started, anyone else feel like that?) so I thought I'd share with you all my favorite snaps that were taken over the festive period.
This isn't the best picture and doesn't show it off very well but I'm putting it on anyway! The card I got from my Boyfriend :) oh and my nutcracker ;)
Of course there has to be the Christmas table shot
Charlie Brown in the one suit she now has to wear for the rest of the year
Me posing next to the tree in my Christmas dress
Christmas dressing gowns were had by all!
This post wouldn't be complete without a picture of me having a drink now would it?

After opening presents and filling ourselves with a most delicious Christmas dinner (made by yours truly) we descended on my Grans house with the rest of the family to open yet more presents!
A full length picture of my outfit, I'm wearing my super cute brand new t-bar shoes I got off mother :) they look just like 1930s tap shoes so I felt compelled to do my poor imitation of a tap dance when I wore them.
This is Bethan being possessed... I'm kidding obviously! I took the photo too soon and it ended up looking like this
Here's what it should have looked like.
Me pretending I'm an extra in a Doris Day film
Here I appear to be stroking my Grans placid looking cat Sebastian but in actual fact I'm stroking my Grans rather vicious at time cat Sebastian. He wasn't very impressed at having his photo taken and attempted to scratch me as soon as the shutter had gone.

On Boxing day Jessie Grace and Sara Lou came round to exchange gifts... and drink Tequila
I think I must be losing my touch as I could only handle two shots, either that or I'm just getting too old for all this.

In the last few days I haven't done too much so we'll have to skip forward to Saturday Night when My Boyfriend and I went out for dinner.
I wore a beautiful Lindy Bop dress I got for Christmas (yes another one!)

It's the same as this dress but it's the updated version with a different belt
Excuse the beautiful view of my Bathroom

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and have a fantastic New Year,
I'll see you all in 2013!
Till next time,
Laura Lou x

Making Over Bethan!

So on Thursday I decided to give Bethan a 'Me' makeover.
I think it turned out rather well ;)
Needless to say thanks to my wonderful skills making her a classic beauty she was pulling left right and center that night at work.
I celebrated the success with a glass of bubbly.
Yummeh!

Till next time folks,
Merry Christmas!

Getting into the Festive Spirit

What better way to Celebrate the festive season with than with a bit of present wrapping and a good old drink eh?
Well that's what I did last night.

This year I decided to wrap all, and I mean all, of my presents in brown parer and string/ribbon purely because I wanted my front room to look like a 1930s post office... that's not the actual reason, it was mainly because it looks AMAZING!

The Drink of choice last night was Prosecco laced with Chambord, I think I drank a whole bottle to myself...oops! It's a good job I'm on my holidays isn't it.

Also on Tuesday it was the 1 month anniversary me and my boyfriend!
A whole month and I haven't scared him off yet :)
It was very cold when we went out so I broke out the (faux) fur.

I pin curled my hair for the occasion but I cheated and used a curling wand first and it ended up looking more like finger waves than pin curls. I wasn't complaining though as I can't finger wave for toffee!
Not too sure what I was laughing at here...
And here is a picture of me 'smelling' what is clearly an artificial flower on what is an equally artificial Christmas tree.

Till next time Folks,
Merry Christmas!

Yesterday was the birthday of someone very special... Jessie Grace! I'd just like to point out she is 22 and older than me (just for her benefit).
Happy Birthday Jess!
We celebrated with cocktails and pizza at Martinos.

The blurriness of this photo should indicated how tipsy we were.
Jessie Grace's birthday dessert which she refused to share, hence my sad face.
She loves me (yeah yeah yeah)
Don't ask!
And that was Jessie Grace's 22nd birthday, now in other news...

IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Well not technically its not but I'm one of those people who is madly excited for Christmas from October, and the closer to the 25th it gets the closer I get to exploding with pure excitement eeeek!
Here's some pictures of my crimbo decs to get you all in the mood :)

Till next time folks,

Pin Curls and Christmas Dresses

I pin curled my hair for the first time since getting it cut yesterday. Previously I found that my hair never really held the curl, it had a tendency to fall out pretty quickly.
Well not anymore! I am proud to say these babies have lasted a full 12 hours and they are still going strong!

This photo was taken at the start of the day, I'm wearing my PJ's :)
I've always wanted to achieve the short curled look without having to use 100s of bobbie pins and now I can, yey!

And this was taken late afternoon, notice how the curls still have bounce in them  ;)
also I must mention how much I love the fact that it was snowing a blizzard yesterday and today the sun was out!

Some very vain photos of me will follow...

I couldn't resist a few dramatic poses.

Now...
My Christmas dress arrived today!

It's a beautiful piece from lindybop.co.uk called 'Rhonda' and it's a bargain at only £29.99!

Excuse the bad lighting, I can't control what my camera does on self timer :(

It's a perfect dress for the holidays

Till next time folks,
Laura Lou x
