Glasgow 2013

It was once again that time of year when Jessie Grace, Sarah Lou and I take ourselves off to Glasgow for the weekend for copious amounts of food and drink.
With it being Scotland of course the weather was miserable (it just so happened that it was glorious back home too) but we didn't let that spoil our fun.
Take a look :)
The pre-train burger king... such a beauty :/
Inside our hotel room and the snack we packed for our trip. Perhaps a little glutenous of us, needless to say it didn't all get eaten.
Most probably our second favorite place in Glasgow, Hillhead Book Club in which we drank lots of this stuff...
 Mango and Raspberry cider.
See!

And then it was time for dinner at our number 1 favorite place in Glasgow...
Ketchup!
I think these might just possibly be the best nachos in the whole world...ever!
Yum yum!

Preparing for a night on the tiles
 Reading my new book ;)

Taking a rather dangerous yet amusing ride on the Glasgow Subway

Sorry it took so bloomin' long to post this!
Till next time folks,

The Weekend

So as it turns out I didn't go to Cragside, that trip has been postponed till next Saturday due to the weather but I have a little catch up with a friend... Jessie Grace.
We went for a curry on the famous Ocean Road at the Royal Tandoori, it was absolutely delicious!
And of course there was drink involved...

On Saturday Myself and Pablo went for a Mexican, I thought it appropriate to dress in a 70s all in one suit.
Sadly it's not vintage, it's only about a year old and I found it in my sisters wardrobe and rescued it before it was sold on eBay but It does look rather groovy I think from the front...
and from the back.
The belt you see did not come with it, I had to take it off a Lindy Bop dress. It was almost an exact match colour wise.
I teamed it with a small green jacket to keep out the cold. It didn't work.

Till next time folks,

My Birthday Week

Last Sunday Jessie Grace and Sarah Lou took me to York for a little pre-birthday vintage shopping trip.
As the weather was so deceiving we decided to wear dresses and spent the whole day complaining about how cold it was but never the less we had a lovely day.

I may have been cold but I looked darned cute I can tell you that!

You can see how we were so easily fooled by the sun, it looked so warm!
After a long car journey and a humorous bus ride we arrived in York.
I had completely forgotten how beautiful a city York is, it's like being transported into a Dickens novel.
I was tempted to 'borrow' this bike to ride around on and re-enact the Sound of Music.
Me posing in front of York Minster.
We took a stroll through the very cold Shambles.
Stopped for a spot of lunch
and of course did some shopping.
There were so many vintage shops, most of which were closed with it being a Sunday, but we did stumble across one called the Inkwell which had this wonderful sign outside
and we couldn't resist! I came out with a bag full of things and only spent £10!
We came across this random sight. A man play old war tunes on his piano.
A beautiful sight.
I was so tempted to buy this cloak and I would have if I hadn't just spent a small fortune on a bottle of Jo Malone. If I could have turned back time I would have.
Me trying on more things that don't belong to me :(

And that was the beginning of my Birthday, I don't have many snaps of my actual Birthday so I'll skip right to the end, a delicious Chinese meal at the Imperial with all of my favorite people.

 Till Next Time Folks,
Laura Lou x
